The long list for the annual $20,000 Polaris Music Prize has been unveiled. This is a prize awarded to the best full-length Canadian record released between June 2008 to May 2009.
These names were selected by the Polaris Music Prize jury, which consists of music journalists, broadcasters and bloggers from across Canada. The albums are judged solely on artistic merit, without regard to genre or record sales.
