George Carlin Dies at 71

The world lost a legend yesterday. Grammy-award winning comedian George Carlin died of heart failure on Sunday at the age of 71.

Carlin's repertoire included such gems as "7 Words you can never say on TV" and many, many stories of the idiots who make up the world we live in.

George's humour was never offensive. He did things in a way where racism, bigotry and meanness were not involved. Carlin took things down to the absolute human level and never aimed to hate anybody.

I am proud to say that I have listened to almost all of Carlin's records and followed him pretty closely. I am sad to say that i never saw him in person. I regret not going to see the legend.

Carlin was reported to be doing shows as recently as last week in Vegas, giving people, unbeknownst to them, a last chance to see a legend in person.

George Carlin will be sorely missed. The world needs more people who aren't scared to speak out against the establishment and share groundbreaking ideas. Unfortunately, we just lost a big one. Rest in Peace Mr Carlin.
